UHL get ahead of the game
Following a recent contract award Dakota IS have secured the largest, single roll out of new Zebra HC100 printers across Europe. The revolutionary printer, with its unique cartridge loading design, proved a big hit with clinical staff across the trust.
UHL, the fourth largest trust in England & Wales had previously decided upon the more traditional Zebra desktop printer to comply with the Positive Patient ID initiative in force across the NHS, however, once Dakota had demonstrated the benefits of the new HC100 the trust soon switched across.
Dakota was involved every step of the way from providing the hardware & helping format the wristband to meet NPSA guidelines. Additionally Dakota’s knowledge of the 2D DataMatrix symbology meant UHL could incorporate this technology quickly onto the wristband to future proof the trusts investment.
