Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust go with Zebra HC100 solution with the help of Dakota
The Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust have rolled out Zebra HC100 printers trust wide following recommendations from Dakota Integrated Solutions.
The trust, incorporating Clatterbridge Oncology & Arrowe Park Hospital were relatively early adopters of the Zebra wristband solution to comply with NPSA guidelines on printed patient wristbands having rolled out their solution across April & May 2009. The project followed a number of meetings with Dakota where the revolutionary HC100 printer with its’ unique cartridge loading feature was demonstrated to IM&T staff & clinicians.
The trust made full use of its’ wireless infrastructure in rolling out the printers & had the in house expertise to link to the patient demographic systems internally.
Commenting on the award Mike Jackson, Sales & Marketing Director at Dakota said “Things moved very quickly with the trust once we were asked to get involved by the NHS Supply Chain. The wireless printer deployment is one of the larger installs within the NHS in England to our knowledge & testament to the forward thinking approach Wirral adopt.”
