Mid Yorks decides on Zebra wireless printer solution for Patient ID

Mid Yorks NHS Trust incorporating Pinderfields, Clayton, Dewsbury General & Pontefract hospitals has decided on the Zebra HC100 printers with wireless interface for their Positive Patient ID project to meet the NPSA guidelines on printed wristbands, provided by Dakota Health.

The trust undertook exhaustive evaluation of various solutions proposed from a number of companies to meet the NPSA compliance requirement. Dakota provided valuable knowledge & expertise in securing the project having rolled out wireless solutions in a number of different trusts across the NHS. Dakota provided an immedaite link to the trusts’ PAS system once engaged with the trust whom also attended the annual Dakota Health Technology Day back in February as part of their evaluation process.

Mike Jackson, Dakota’s Sales & Marketing Director commented “We have been involved with the trust for a number of months & have struck up an excellent relationship with the project team. Mid Yorks went through a very rigorous evaluation process but once we had established our credentials & demonstrated the ease of use of the Zebra HC100 printers then their decision was a pretty straightforward one.”
