Dakota Integrated Solutions supply the hardware and media for all the major manufacturers of direct thermal & thermal transfer printers for bar code label printing along with card printers for a variety of ID card applications. This includes the printers themselves as well as ribbons, labels, tags and RFID media produced at standard sizes or to your bespoke customised dimensions.

We supply the full Zebra range of printers and media – we are a Zebra Premier Partner and Zebra Supplies Specialist partner – but can also provide products for the other major manufacturers such as Datamax, Intermec, Printronix and Toshiba Tec.

As part of our customer service ethos Dakota Print Solutions team is happy to undertake a full label audit for any existing or prospective customer. The objective of this report is to provide customers with a detailed report on their current method of printing / labelling, highlight areas whereby the quality of printing / labelling can be improved & suggest areas where cost savings can be achieved.

Simple issues such as looking at thermal printer burn temperatures to ensure optimum print conditions can help save money on printheads, an expensive consumable on cost.

In our experience many companies are using incompatible thermal label combinations for their particular application(s) or environments. With the advances in modern technology we are able to offer cost savings based upon some of the following factors:

  • Thermal Labels / ribbon over specified for the application (non cost effective)
  • Thermal Labels / ribbon under specified for the application (false economy, regular down time on print runs meaning poor efficiency returns)
  • Advancement in technology means some direct thermal material may be more cost effective than a thermal transfer combination equivalent
  • Printing technologies may have become dated, therefore we could be in a position to propose alternatives.
